Florida broker’s are required to pay commissions to the exact name that is listed on the DBPR website: www.myfloridalicense.com.

Many agents want their commissions paid to a corp or llc so they typically form a P.A. They move their real estate license from their personal name into the PA (for example Greg Vander Wel, P.A. LLC) Broker’s can then pay commissions to their PA. The State does require the agent’s name to be included in the name of the PA. You can also call DBPR with any questions at (850) 487-1395. We are happy to cut your commissions to any name that DBPR allows you to move your license to!

Quick note: FS 475.161(Link)  contains the Florida Statutes for setting these up. You can use a PA, LLC or a PLLC.

If your want to set up your PA, there are 2 steps:

1) Set up your PA on Sunbiz (you may have already done this)
2) Fill out a RE-16 form(link) and mail it to:
